I wrote this song when I got back from a really rewarding, but somewhat challenging solo motorcycle trip last summer. I had just started dating my ex, but we weren’t really a thing yet, so she occupied every moment my head was in that helmet. It’s a little hard to listen to this now with everything that eventually happened. I loved her. She loved me. We had some great times, but life happened, and that’s ok. Gosh, I really do think this is a pretty song. Those horns were written and arranged by Chase as an afterthought to the Cycles stuff, but they really made the song. It’s kind of a sad lullaby.
